Position: Technology Specialist
Reports to: Director of Information Technology (IT)
Necessities, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Description:
The Orange Board of Education is seeking a motivated individual interested in collaborating with a hard-working team within the Technology Services Department. The candidate should welcome challenges and get excited about working with users to methodically resolve their technology issues. The successful candidate will become well-rounded in technology through hands-on learning experiences with enterprise systems running Microsoft Windows, Chrome OS, Mac OS, Apple IOS, and Android OS. Our hardware includes Smartboards, projectors, security cameras, badge readers, printers, copiers, and iPads. A wide variety of software applications are supported for our users.
Education:
College or working experience in the technology field preferred.
Certifications in A+, Network+, or MCP are desired but not required
Start Date: Immediately
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 (depending on experience)
Benefits: Paid Holidays, Retirement plan, Health coverage, etc.

Necessities, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A friendly and professional demeanor
- Possesses a strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate positively with staff, students, and parents whether in person, via email, or helpdesk ticketing system
- A strong interest in learning and working on various technologies, as well as implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting them
- Ability to work independently and as a team to provide support methodically for various tasks
- Ability to prioritize tasks assigned
- A valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Capable of adjusting working hours as needed to support staff, students, and parents
- Must be able to follow and update documentation for tasks assigned
- Knowledge of computer operating systems and computer hardware
- Ability to respect confidential information
- Must be able to climb ladders and lift 50 pounds
