SUMMARY: To assist in the preparation and service of quality food to students in a quick and pleasant manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY, AN INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM EACH ESSENTIAL DUTY SATISFACTORILY. THE REQUIREMENTS LISTED BELOW ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND/OR ABILITY REQUIRED. REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS MAY BE MADE TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Previous experience with large-scale cooking and food preparation/serving.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency and weight measurements, volume and distance.
DATE OF SERVICE: ASAP
SALARY: Per negotiated contract
HOURS: 8:45am - 2:00pm (5.25 hours/day)
Application: Those currently employed by the Bristol Board of Education complete an internal application by 4:00 p.m. on August 19, 2024.

- Responsible for all general food preparation, serving and sanitation procedures.
- Assists in the preparation of vegetables, salads, sandwiches and other menu items.
- Assists in counter set-up and breakdown.
- Assists in serving of daily menu items.
- Responsible for sanitation in specific work areas and general kitchen cleanup.
- Performs other duties as requested by supervisors.
