2023/2024 hourly rate range $17.16-$22.72
Period of Employment:       
Full Time School Year – 33.75 hours per week

Building Administrator/Special Services Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Must be physically able to restrain children exhibiting behaviors, which may be harmful to him/herself or others.  Maintain confidentiality.

1. With training in physical management and de-escalation of students along with consultation from teacher/s, will provide proactive de-escalation strategies to students who at times might require physical management.

1. Transition student to and/or from buses; when necessary, physically assist student out of or into vehicle of transportation.

1. Supervise and physically assist student during classroom, grade level and/or lunch time playground recess.

1. Assist student with specific physical or behavioral needs through transitions within the classroom or school. Provides assistance with de-escalating student behaviors and reintegration back into the classroom

1. Supervise student through bathroom routine as necessary.

1. Other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:
Candidate should hold an Associate’s degree or 2 years of college credit or pass a State Board of Education adopted paraprofessional assessment, which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading and writing and an understanding of how to assist in the instruction of these topics.
