VACANCY NOTICE
Adult English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Teacher
Shoreline Adult Education
Branford High School
July 5 – July 28
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays; 9:30-11:30 AM
Rate:  $100 per session
Minimum Qualifications: 

• Able to work with a variety of people from other cultures with limited English language proficiency 
• Knowledgeable of pedagogy and current practices in the field of TESOL 
• CT Teaching Certification:  088 - English to Non-English Speaking Adults or 

 111 - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), PK–12

• Familiarity with adult education a plus
• Knowledge of Google Classroom and Google Workspace programs preferred

Major Areas of Responsibility: 

• Provide standards-based English language instruction that is appropriate to the maturity and interest of adult students.
• Follow grant guidelines and State Department of Education mandates.

• Maintain required student documentation for program compliance.
• Work as a team member to assist students in meeting academic and career goals.
