Job Description:
Regional School District No. 8 is accepting applications for a Part Time District Technology Services Technician (20 hours/week) who will work under the supervision of the Director of Technology/Communications, the district Technology Services Technician will 1) be the primary point of contact for district faculty and staff seeking technical support and 2) be responsible for answering requests directed to the Information Technology Services Support Center and providing in-person support, training, and assistance.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; will also consider candidates who are pursuing a degree.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and technical skills
  • Five years experience in technology related services
  • Advanced training in electronic services for technology equipment and
  • Basic understanding of computers, printers, projectors, smart boards, scanners,
    digital and document cameras
  • Strong knowledge of platforms such as GSuite for Education and school website editing platforms
  • Proficiency in the setup and installation of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office applications
  • Manage Active Directory environment including users, printing, imaging and group policies
  • Familiarity with LAN concepts such as VLANs, and electronics such as switches and access points
  • Ability to make contacts and develop effective working relationships within and
    outside the department, maintaining a high degree of professionalism
  • Well-developed sense of strategy and timing and the ability to prioritize duties independently
  • Ability to interface with technical personnel in order to discuss user related problems
  • 20 hour work week; $21.29/hour.
