Job Description:
Hartford Public High School is championing a redesign process that will provide students in grades 10-12 with a choice of three pathways:  Allied Health Sciences, Engineering, and General Studies
  • Allied Health Sciences Pathway:  Through a series of coursework, together with a progressive continuum of activities, students will be prepared for future health sciences studies and industry-recognized credentials. 
  • Engineering Pathway: Students in the NAF-certified pathway will explore principles of engineering, while engaging in transformative project-based learning experiences and real-world internships with ongoing access to business and industry leaders through the school’s advisory board.
  • General Studies Pathway: Students will be exposed to a variety of subjects, allowing scholars to take courses across a broad spectrum.
As part of Hartford Public High’s remodel, 9th grade students will be enrolled in the school’s new Freshman Academy, which will provide students with learning opportunities to build awareness and interest in career pathways.

HPHS is seeking libary/media teachers, who are willing to make a three (3) year commitment to Hartford Public High School. Candidates who have the appropriate Connecticut certification and possess the necessary qualities and characteristics – Wisdom, Will, Effort, Heart, Skill, and Presence - to be a successful HPHS teacher are strongly encouraged to apply now, as interviews have begun.
