Position Description
The Wooster School Bridge Program supports high-achieving mainstream students with language-based learning disabilities. The Bridge teacher will work with a Middle School student cohort to: support students with different learning styles by providing intervention and remediation; support students in a mainstream classroom setting in an effort to advance students with different learning needs; partner with parents, students, and outside professionals in order to better support students with special needs, and collaborate with colleagues to support students’ learning. The Bridge teacher will teach a Bridge-specific English class aligned with the students’ needs and the mainstream curriculum. S/he may teach a Bridge-specific Math class as well. S/he will push into History and Science classes and academic support to students in all areas. Communication with colleagues and parents is essential.

The Role
Full-time Wooster Bridge teachers:
  • Teach five sections, providing academic support and pushing into classes
  • Participate in our advisory program
  • Play a role in our extracurricular programming
  • Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through continued professional development

Salary & Benefits
