Job Description:
The Executive Director/Clinical Director is responsible for the clinical and administrative oversight of three of the Greenwich Education Group (GEG) core businesses:  Links AcademyThe Collaborative Center, and Academic Services. This position has P&L responsibility for all three programs as well as supervisory responsibility for the full-time staff and independent contractors who perform those operations. In addition, the Executive Director is also responsible for managing all external outreach programs within GEG, including educational services that are provided for adolescents at Silver Hill Hospital.

Links Academy is a NEASC accredited school, providing individualized instruction (1:1) and offering open enrollment for student-specific short and long-term academic and support programs.  The Collaborative Center is a full-service special education organization that offers individualized (1:1) academic skill development programs to address the academic needs of PreK-12+ students with diverse learning needs.  Lastly, Academic Services, one of the anchor GEG programs, provides tutoring and standardized test preparation for all grade levels and subjects.
 
  • Managing day-to-day and strategic operations, including full P&L responsibility, for all three programs;
  • Serving in a leadership position as a member of GEG’s Executive Committee Management team;
  • Collaborating with the leaders of each program to continually develop and enhance the program needs and facilities in accordance with requirements of school districts, private schools, and private pay students;
  • Overseeing student enrollment activities for all programs including intakes and program design;
  • Ensuring appropriate program development and the efficacy of the counseling, executive functioning (EF) coaching, and special education programs as needed;
  • Ensuring that students’ unique learning needs and developmental profiles are appropriately considered as a part of the process of creating of individualized academic and clinical programs;
  • Working closely with families, ensuring that parents appropriately participate in individual planning meetings;
  • Identifying and assessing program needs (academic, clinical, speech and language, counseling, etc.) on an ongoing basis;
  • Providing leadership and training to support individual teachers, clinicians etc., including regularly scheduled observations and feedback to individual team members;
  • Monitoring clinical quality through weekly staff supervision, evaluations, and assessments of learning and training needs;
  • Ensuring quality clinical and educational services are provided to clients and their families;
  • Developing and fostering strong working relationships with school districts, practicing clinicians, advocates, attorneys, and leaders of other independent schools to increase awareness and student enrollment;
  • Coordinating and ensuring appropriate oversight for the educational services GEG provides for  external programs such as Silver Hill Hospital; developing outreach programs to similar organizations
  • Working closely with GEG Marketing to develop marketing plans, and to also ensure website, social media, and printed literature are current and accurate.
  • Maintaining knowledge of best practices relating to special education and current clinical trends or relevant issues, informing and educating staff as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Master’s Degree in Special Education, School Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline; experience working with students with learning differences and/or social-emotional needs impacting on education;
  • Special Education Degree or an 092 certification is preferred;
  • Direct experience with the Connecticut PPT process, IEP/504 plan implementation, and development and rating of academic and social-emotional goals;
  • A minimum of 8 years experience of Special Education teaching, school psychology, or counseling experience;
  • Previous experience running a clinical program highly desirable;
  • A keen understanding of the Fairfield County alternative educational landscape and strong relationships in Fairfield County school districts;  
  • Management experience, preferably including P&L responsibility, with demonstrated success in marketing and relationship building;  
  • Superb communication skills (written/verbal) and a collaborative interpersonal style;
