Job Description:
School Business Manager position available in northeast CT. Responsible for developing and implementing annual budget, payroll and accounts payable. Responsible for supervising fiscal services personnel. 3-5 years of experience in public school fiscal/budget management and staff supervision required. Part time position with potential for future full time.

  • Develop and implement annual District Budget, General and Special Funds for District consortium members.
  • Direct expenditures of operating budget, payroll, and accounts payable.
  • Implement financial practices and systems in accordance with district policy, state and federal law and audit findings.
  • Manage employee benefit costs.
  • Implement and maintain systems for retention records and asset inventory.
  • Analyze fiscal data and provide reports to Superintendent and Board of Education.
Accountable to the Superintendent of Schools for efficient and effective budget management for the district.
  • B.A. in Finance or related field
  • Experience in public school fiscal management and operations
  • Experience in staff supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 085 School Business Administrator certfication or eligibility a plus
