VACANCY:               Director of Guidance, Grades 6 – 12 (12-month position)
EFFECTIVE:            July 1, 2019
REPORTS TO:         Middle School and High School Principals
  • Successful record of counseling and leadership in a secondary setting
  • Knowledge of high school age students’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Strong understanding of counseling, development guidance, social emotional learning, the college process and scheduling
  • Effective leadership, managerial, technical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, students and parents
  • Connecticut certification as School Counselor (068) and Intermediate Administrator (092)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:   Per Contract between the Darien Board of Education and the Darien Administrators Association
