Description: The South Windsor Board of Education is seeking a dynamic, student-centered and highly skilled educator with a proven track record in instructional leadership for the position of Principal at Timothy Edwards Middle School (TEMS). TEMS currently welcomes nearly 1,000 students in grades 6 – 8, and is also home of the district’s preschool program.  Over 100 faculty and staff work at TEMS to maintain a supportive, collegial school environment that inspires students to grow and learn in a caring atmosphere of respect, exploration, and discovery. 

South Windsor is a community consisting of approximately 26,250 people with approximately 4,300 public school students. The school district is comprised of four elementary schools, one middle school (6-8), one high school (9-12), as well as a Young Adult Transition Academy. South Windsor Public Schools is fortunate to partner with committed parents, a dedicated board of education, and a supportive community.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold Connecticut certification (092) Intermediate Administrator and Supervisor.  The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a minimum of three to five years experience as a school based administrator.  Start date is July 1, 2019.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
