SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM/SECRETARY/BOOKEEPER
 
JOB SUMMARY:  The primary function is to manage the day to day administrative responsibilities to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the school lunch office.  The applicant must possess the ability to read and interpret documents.  Duties include drafting and preparing correspondence, bookkeeping, general accounting, payroll and accounts payable, and prepare routine reports.   Applicant must be able to operate all standard office equipment, including but not limited to word processors, adding machines and various other equipment.
 
  1. JOB DESCRIPTION:
    1. Classify, sort and file correspondence and other data.
    2. Prepare, draft and smooth correspondence, forms and documents.
    3. Assists with the preparation of the payroll.
    4. Assists in the management of food service accounts.  Ensures all invoices are verified for accuracy and paid in a timely manner.
    5. Assists with the preparation of reports to include but not limited to monthly financial reports, and all other state and federal documents as required.
    6. Maintain daily sales records, invoices, and checkbook and deposit records.
    7. Responsible for collating monthly invoices and bills and prepares program checks.
    8. Responsible for daily record keeping for the School Lunch Program.
 
  1. QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Minimum Qualifications:
Able to proficiently and competently run all office equipment including and not limited to:  personal computer, adding machine, copier/scanner and word processor. 
 
Possess good basic judgement when dealing with the public and knowledge of public relations. 
 
Possess basic fundamental knowledge of office procedures, accounting and record keeping.
 
    1. Experience and Training
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 
Two years of work experience in bookkeeping, accounting and word processing a must.  Proficient in Office 365, QuickBooks and applicable computer program.
Must demonstrate proficiency in handling all common office machinery.
 
       c.   Additional Duties:
        Ability and willingness to perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
                      Also must be able to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.
