Position: Instructional Supervisor of Technology
Department: District Curriculum and Technology
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
Start Date: January 2019
Compensation: $111,845 - $135,916
Work Year: 223 days

  • Manage district software licenses including: software management & training, coordinate committee work to select and evaluate new software;
  • Manage the shared responsibility of  district website vision and active social media accounts;
  • Manage district data privacy requirements;
  • Plan and oversee implementation of technology related projects including 1:1 Chromebooks and other projects aimed at improving student achievement;
  • Collaborate with building principals and teacher leaders to assess needs and develop a site-based plan for improvement of instruction and increased student achievement aligned to the School Improvement Plan and District Strategic Plan;
  • Collaborate with the technology team and curriculum teams to improve student achievement through the authentic use of technology tools to drive learning reflective of 21st century skills;
  • Using technology as a tool, model, coach and collaborate on the implementation of differentiation, research based instructional strategies, personalized learning, problem solving, project based learning, civics education and the 21st Century Skills;
  • Collaborate with teachers on rigorous lesson plan design and implementation with a skill based approach;
  • Assist teachers with curriculum writing and support the implementation;
  • Provide in-service instruction for staff, parents, administrators and board members;
  • Coordinate selection, adoption and purchasing of software and supplemental instructional materials and recommendations to the BOE;
  • Use K-12 student achievement data to improve student achievement;
  • Gather and evaluate programmatic, school and district data;
  • Assist classroom teachers and administrators with data analysis of state, district and classroom assessments;
  • Develop and implement personalized professional development activities that align to the District Improvement Plan, School Improvement Plans, individual teacher learning profile and the findings from student achievement analysis;
  • Support the Library Media Specialists with program development K-12;
  • Provide supportive feedback to teachers and staff through the district’s evaluation process;
  • Assist with the preparation and management of the district budget;
  • Apply for and manage grants;
  • Actively support the District Testing Coordinator and student testing;
  • Attend BOE, parent-teacher organization, or other meetings when requested;
  • Collaborate with other district specialists, CSDE representatives, and national experts on best practices and state initiatives..
  • Administrative Certificate (092) required;
  • Prefer master’s degree or advanced studies in curriculum and instruction; 
  • Experience and demonstrated expertise in integrating technology into all aspects of K-12 curriculum, instruction and assessment;
  • Ability to provide leadership and contribute to a high performing team of administrators, teachers, school staff and supportive community with emphasis on quality, continuous improvement, and high performance;
  • Experience and expertise in day-to-day school & district operations;
  • Strong focus on innovative, student-centered teaching strategies;
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills to lead teachers, parents and member of the school community;
  • Ability to bring research-based insight to classroom instruction in order to improve student achievement;
  • Knowledge of best practice in using technology to support classroom instruction and assessment;
  • Experience with special populations;
  • Ability to integrate instructional technology resources into district curriculum;
  • Five years’ experience as a professional educator, with evidence of a high level of proficiency in integrating technology into teaching, a thorough knowledge of instructional strategies, child development, curriculum and classroom management required;
  • This position will have certified teacher evaluation responsibilities.
