East Hampton Memorial Elementary School
The East Hampton Board of Education is seeking dynamic and visionary school leaders who possess the following professional qualities to apply for the position of Principal.
     Previous teaching and administrative experience at the elementary school level
     Leadership skills in the areas of curriculum, instruction, student assessment, school climate, team building, and school improvement
     Ability to promote rigorous academic standards for all students, including multiple assessment strategies and data analysis to improve and monitor student progress
     Passion for learning and being part of a professional learning community
     Knowledge and skill in the supervision and evaluation of staff
     Knowledge in 21st Century Skill Development
     Excellent communication and organizational/interpersonal skills

The principalship at Memorial School is a 12-month position with salary and benefits governed by the agreement between the East Hampton Administrators Association and the East Hampton Board of Education.  The Memorial School houses approximately 630 students in grades PK-3.
The school supports collaboration and teamwork among grade level teams in order to encourage students’ emotional and academic success.  There is a high level of family and community involvement in the schools. The PTO and community members play a vital role in supporting cultural assemblies, service projects and fun social events for students.  There is a safe, organized, child friendly physical environment.  Classrooms have well- developed, leveled libraries, a variety of technology tools to support personalized learning, and flexible work spaces and seating for students.
