IT Social Media Specialist - Full Time
Kolbe Cathedral Preparatory High School

Position Overview:
Kolbe Cathedral Preparatory High School in Bridgeport is seeking a dynamic and mission-aligned IT Social Media Specialist to support strategic marketing, communication, and engagement initiatives for the high school. This position plays a vital role in strengthening the brand identity, enhancing school visibility, and fostering community and stakeholder relationships in alignment with the Catholic mission of our schools.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing & Branding
  • Provide strategic direction for cohesive branding and umbrella marketing programs.
  • Ensure messaging and visual identity align with the mission and vision of the Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic schools.
Social Media Management
  • Manage and curate content for the OSS social media accounts.
  • Develop engaging, consistent content in collaboration with school leaders and office staff.
  • Plan and execute campaigns around enrollment, diocesan priorities, and school celebrations.
Sponsorships & Advancement Support
  • Partner with the OSS Advancement team lead to support sponsor communications and outreach.
Website & Portal Management
  • Oversee routine updates to the OSS website and internal user portals.
  • Manage content edits, calendar updates, and portal support requests.
Communications & Content Development
  • Prepare and distribute the newsletter weekly to school principals.
    • Solicit content submissions from internal teams, Foundations in Education, Catholic Mutual, and Seton Collaborative partners.
    • Schedule and publish newsletter via Constant Contact.
Document Production & Graphic Design
  • Design and format communications and collateral, including the Strategic Plan, Annual Report, certificates, event programs, and more.
  • Ensure brand consistency and professional presentation across all materials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, Graphic Design/Art, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in social media management, graphic design, and content creation.
  • Proficiency with digital tools (e.g., Constant Contact, Canva, WordPress, Google Suite).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred.
  • Some events or meetings may require occasional evening or weekend availability.
