Job Description:
Solstice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to provide direct support to students with developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in collaboration with school staff, the Behavior Technician will implement individualized behavior intervention plans and instructional strategies to promote student success in the classroom and school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Solstice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to provide direct support to students with developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in collaboration with school staff, the Behavior Technician will implement individualized behavior intervention plans and instructional strategies to promote student success in the classroom and school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support to students
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill-building programs as designed by the BCBA
- Collect accurate data on student behavior and progress
- Support students with communication, social, academic, and self-regulation skills
- Collaborate with special education teachers, related service providers, and school staff
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards
- Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings
- Assist in creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred
- Experience working with children with autism or special needs preferred
- Willingness to obtain RBT certification (if not already certified)
- Ability to follow behavior plans and collect data accurately
- Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to meet the demands of working with students
