One Year Building Substitutes
Our general education paraprofessionals assist teachers in general daily classroom activities. They work with individual students or small groups to support reading and pre-reading skills. They also supervise students during non-classroom time such as lunch or recess. Additionally, general education paras may supervise classes of students while teachers are at meetings. Paraeducators have the unique opportunity to contribute to positive educational outcomes by working as part of the outstanding team dedicated to educating our students. 
Location: 1 each for Harwinton Consolidated School and Har-Bur Middle School
Nestled in the hills of Northwestern CT, Region 10 serves the towns of Harwinton and Burlington and is bordered by Farmington, Bristol, Litchfield, and Torrington.  Our communities have many offerings contributing to work/life balance and convenience for daily life.
Starting Date: August 27, 2025
Wage: $110/day
Schedule: 6.5 hours per day for 180 days per year
Qualifications:           
  • Teaching certificate is preferred but not required
