Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement age-appropriate lessons in partnership with PE co-teacher that cover a range of motor skills, games, and fitness activities for students in PreSchool - Grade 5.
- Create engaging and varied lesson plans to maintain student interest and promote participation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all students feel comfortable participating and learning.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their development and encourage improvement.
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for others.
- Promote a love for physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
- Ensure a safe and supervised environment for all PE activities.
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and participation in PE.
- Stay up-to-date on current best practices in PE instruction and curriculum development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Additional duties:
- Supervise morning arrival duty daily.
- Attend faculty meetings and other school-related commitments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education or related field
- Experience in lower school physical education or related field
