Part-time (3 days per week) or Full time
May 5 - June 12, 2025 and August 25 - October 17, 2025
Additional hours are available for Extended School Year (July 1-July 31)
Job Description: EdAdvance is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to provide school social work support to students in grades K-5 with emotional and behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and a genuine passion for helping students thrive academically. The role requires a deep commitment to fostering students' well-being and guiding them toward achieving their educational goals.

Requirements and Major Responsibilities:
- Candidate must hold a valid CT Endorsement as a School Social Worker (#071)
- Provide Tier 1 SEL instruction and individual or group counseling as prescribed in IEPs
- Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary school team to identify strategies and interventions
- Participate in PPT meetings and complete the necessary documents within CT-SEDS
- Strong ability to develop therapeutic relationships with students and working relationships with adults
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
- Ability to effectively problem-solve and adapt to shifting priorities
- Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Will receive training in PMT (deescalation and emergency physical management)
- Must be able to withstand the physical demands of frequent standing, bending, kneeling and therapeutic holding as required
