ACES at Chase Interdistict Magnet School is seeking a dynamic and qualified Certified Science Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons that align with state and national standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry-based learning.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and engage students in the learning process.
- Assess and evaluate student performance using a variety of formative and summative assessment tools.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance the science curriculum.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in science education.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives and programs.
- Valid Connecticut state certification in science education in Biology 4-12 (030); Chemistry 4-12 (031), or Physics 4-12 (032). Chemistry or Physics Certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of current science education trends and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using technology in the classroom.
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.
