Hours: 7.25 hours per day
Pay: $130 per day
Position Overview:
The Cornwall Consolidated School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher for a temporary assignment starting November 18, 2024, through December 20, 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and classroom management for a group of Kindergarten students for a period of 22 school days.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field is required.
- Connecticut Certification in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with young children, particularly in a classroom setting, is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills are essential.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.
- Fingerprinting and a completed DCF background check are required prior to employment.
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans in accordance with the Kindergarten curriculum.
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with other educators, staff, and administration.
- Maintain a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during the school day.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (e.g., books, classroom materials).
- Must be able to assist with movement activities and support children’s physical needs.
- Ability to kneel or bend to interact with students at their level and manage classroom materials.
