Job Description:
CREC’s Aerospace and Engineering Elementary School is seeking a Long Term Substitute for Grade 1 for the 2024-2025 school year (approx. Jan-May). The candidate will provide comprehensive, high quality instruction in a Grade 1 classroom. Responsibilities of the teacher include developing lesson plans using the district’s curriculum, providing instruction to students, participating in school-level data teams, and facilitating a strong home/school connection. Knowledge of and experience with Teachers College Readers and Writers Workshop preferred.
Candidate must be CT certified and have knowledge of literacy, math and science standards and be able to utilize data to inform instruction and possess the ability to work successfully as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
