POSITION: Behavioral Therapist Positions – 32.5 hours/week

Responsibilities:
The ABA Therapist will report to a designated special education teacher and will:
- implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education Teacher
- work with other specialists and parents to implement additional specified goals and objectives
- implement programs developed by teacher and consultant
- teach daily living, social skills, receptive and expressive language skills
- maintain accurate data and graphing on all designated programs
- plan and implement all aspects of systematic instructional sequences within self-contained classroom, inclusion environments, and reverse mainstream environments
- meet regularly with ABA consultant, special education teacher, support team
- attend staff meetings
- video tape work sessions as appropriate
- provide reports of student progress when deemed necessary by teacher and/or team
- maintain student safety including the application of crisis prevention interventions and physical management techniques, including protective holds, when necessary and appropriate
- implement behavior intervention plans designed to reinforce appropriate behaviors and eliminate inappropriate behaviors including disruptive behaviors such as aggression or bolting
- Two to three years’ experience providing ABA instruction
- demonstrate knowledge of special education practices (autism)
- possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
- must be highly motivated and self-directed
