Period of Employment: Full Time School Year – 33.75 hours per week
Reports to: Building Administrator/Special Services Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate should hold an Associate’s degree or 2 years of college credit or pass a State Board of Education adopted paraprofessional assessment, which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading and writing and an understanding of how to assist in the instruction of these topics.

- Assist students with instruction under the direction of a special education teacher.
- Assist teacher staff in the implementation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- May need to assist with transitioning students to and/or from buses; when necessary, physically assist students out of or into vehicles of transportation.
- May need to assist students with specific physical or behavioral needs through transitions within the classroom or school. Provides assistance with de-escalating student behaviors and reintegration back into the classroom.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
