Position Title: College & Career Readiness Tutor -- Evening (only) @ Southington Adult Education
Reports to: Adult Education Director
SUMMARY: To provide in person support to Adult Education Students (ESL & HSC) in a self-directed classroom setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staff assigned to these positions is expected to perform their duties with the following expectations in mind:
WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time- Evenings 5:30am-7:30pm (2 hrs. and 1 day a week- Wednesdays)
STARTING DATE: 24-25 SY

Position Title: College & Career Readiness Tutor -- Evening (only) @ Southington Adult Education

SUMMARY: To provide in person support to Adult Education Students (ESL & HSC) in a self-directed classroom setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide hands on support (under the guidance of the School Counselor) to students as they navigate through CTHires, WIOA Application, FASFA Application and college applications.
- Maintain student reports and records as required by the program.
- Collaborate with Program Facilitator to create FAQs and video tutorials.
- Communicate effectively with staff as needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience searching the Internet for information on a wide variety of topics.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
EXPECTATIONS:
Staff assigned to these positions is expected to perform their duties with the following expectations in mind:
- All supervisory responsibilities must be fulfilled. In particular, clients must be supervised at all times.
- Ability to apply common sense and deal with problems in a practical and reasonable manner.
- Ability to perform duties with all district guidelines and policies in mind.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in the activity.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position that may vary widely depending on the activity.
