Goodwin University Magnet School System is actively recruiting for an Office Manager for CTRA Middle Grades Program. The Office Manager assumes responsibility without supervision for specific tasks assigned by administration, assisting in the overall functions of the middle grades program. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. The salary for this position starts at $53,000 this position dose not include remote work.
RELATIONSHIP WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION
The office manager relationship within the organization is to report directly to all building administration (Principal/Director, Assistant Principal/Assistant Director and SSS Supervisor). The office manager does not have any supervisory or delegating responsibilities. The office manager works collaboratively with all other building and district leadership as requested.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in maintenance of budgets and manage day to day expenditures: (issuing purchase orders, monitoring appropriate account/line numbers, monthly financial statements, reconciling with business office, invoicing, budget modification forms, keep organized and updated accounts from different sources and make recommendations regarding budget revisions).
- Coordinates supply ordering from requests, distribution of related deliveries and supply storage room.
- Collaborate with the Information Technology Department in regards to technology concerns for the school building/site.
- Assist the Principal/Director in communication and correspondence with staff, parents, LEAs, and other agencies including workshop and program brochures and announcements related to school schedules, program brochures, and announcements
- Coordinates phone, verbal and written communication that pertains to the office/administrator to which assigned.
- Organizing and managing various work projects, taking responsibility for all aspects (i.e.: for workshops- securing the presenter, billing, mailings, CEU application, etc)
- Assures timeliness in preparing needed reports such as state, magnet school reports, student transition reports.
- Manage main office phone calls, door system and mail (incoming, outgoing and distribution)
- Supporting the general main office including collaboration with student support services as needed.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of all aspects of the school’s operation, to be able to act as contact person in the absence of an administrator or staff member.
- Operate all office equipment. Assist with the copying, collation, and distribution of various staff materials
- Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed.
- Awareness of district policies and procedures regarding staff and students.
- Understanding and knowledge of school-based programs.
- Dealing effectively with the public and establishing good rapport with staff, students and families.
- Associate’s Degree (preferred)
- 2-3 years of clerical, secretarial or office experience
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Attention to detail
- Self-driven
- Has demonstrated ability to handle and take charge with respect to needs of the school
- Demonstrated ability to independently handle assignments
- Able to balance work responsibilities to accommodate changing needs and priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of computers and software applications including Powerschool
- Demonstration of sound professional, ethical behavior
