Job Description:

Ledyard Public Schools anticipates the need to hire a passionate, dynamic Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Coordinator to lead and oversee the MTSS process supporting the whole child starting in the 2024-25 school year. The Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating closely with various stakeholders to enhance our current tiered framework that uses data to meet the needs of students through academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning (SEL) interventions. 
Qualifications:
  • Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with administrators, educators, and support staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and excellence in teaching literacy skills
  • Experience using a variety of research-based interventions
  • Strong knowledge of assessment and data analysis
  • Promotes a positive learning environment responsive to and respectful of the needs of students
  • Understand the social and emotional needs of students
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Successful elementary teaching and/or literacy experience preferred

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with district administrators, school-based leadership teams, and educators to facilitate the management of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS)
  • Help establish and maintain data collection and analysis procedures to inform decision making around student needs and district/school resource allocation
  • Monitor the fidelity of implementation of MTSS at school sites, including identification of students, delivery of Tier 2 and 3 interventions, and progress monitoring
  • Coach teams on analyzing student data and identifying research-based interventions across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning
  • Develop meeting cadences and agendas for the MTSS process
  • Oversee building-based interventionists 


Additional Duties:
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent or other Central Office Administrators 

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CT teacher certification (097, 102 preferred)



Pay Benefits: Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing to teach
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to traverse the classroom and adjust one's tone and height, by bending or leaning, in order to teach each child
