Reports to:  Superintendent
Salary: Negotiable based on experience, part-time hourly

Located in the quiet Northeast corner of Connecticut, Scotland is a small unique PreK-6 school setting with approximately 105 students and 45 staff members. Supportive, new and innovative administrative teams seeks the addition of a part-time business coordinator to complete the team.

General Description:  The finance coordinator works under the direct Supervision of the Superintendent of Schools to perform all duties necessary to maintain financial records of the school, assist with health benefits, work with online state grant system, and maintain a financially sound and effective learning environment for Scotland Elementary School.
Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • General ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Handles all aspects of medical insurance (rates, premiums, changes to plans)
  • Payroll and accounts payable
  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Payroll preparation (all aspects)
  • Reconciliation of banking
  • Audits
  • Preparation of grants and draw downs
