Title Residential Manager
City East Hartford
Description Great opportunity for a Residential Manager to supervise daily operations of a residential treatment program in East Harford for 34 severely emotionally disturbed adolescent females. Important leadership role in the organization. We use a collaborative problem-solving approach to treatment (non-punitive, no "point sheets"). Person selected will be responsible for scheduling and supervising staff; working collaboratively with clinical, educational, medical and support staff; conducting training and holding regular staff meetings; assuring that student treatment goals are being implemented in the homes.
Work hours 1:00pm - 9:00pm.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Services field. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a residential setting (inpatient hospital, residential treatment program, group home, etc.).
Strong written, organizational and communication skills; ability to work with a diverse group of staff and students; crisis intervention; experience in training direct care staff; knowledge of progressive discipline practices. Understanding of DBT a plus.
Valid CT driver's license and ability to obtain Public Service License. Ability to obtain DCF Medication Administration Certification, 1st Aid/CPR and PMT certification within 60 days of employment.
Mandatory pre-employment drug screening and background checks required.
