Title Residential Counselors (part-time)
City East Hartford
Description Weekend Residential Counselors needed to work with at-risk, behavior disordered adolescent females in a residential treatment program in East Hartford. Assist them with daily living skills & effective problem-solving, participate in recreational activities and off-grounds trips, accompany to outside appointments, serve as mentor and positive role model. Also will assist students in achieving their treatment goals through such techniques as reflecting, relating, teaching and building trust. Maintains detailed logs of clients' daily events and incidents.

Work schedule is Saturdays and Sundays, 8am-4pm, 16 hours per week, excellent hourly rate, no benefits.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in related field required, valid CT driver's license.
Experience working with at-risk adolescent females strongly preferred.
Other requirements: pre-employment background check and drug screen; ability to secure Public Service License within 30 days of hire; have or obtain: DCF Medication Administration Certification, 1st Aid/CPR, PMT crisis intervention certification.
