Description:
The Windsor Locks Public Schools is looking for a History/Social Studies & Curriculum Coordinator for Grades 9-12. Must have CT. Certification No. 026. Job Summary: As a Classroom Teacher you are expected to create a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to motivate students to develop skills, attitutdes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for education in accordance with each student's ability; to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members.

Part of the position is being a Curriculum Coordinator and as an experienced master teacher, this individual must also provide department leadership, direction and coordination for a team of staff members and to assist the team members in accomplishing the instructional goals in their academic area of social studies, Grades 6-12. This is a teacher stipend position. The stipend, at the teacher's daily rate, is based upon a total of 15 days of service, beyond the teacher work year. The aditional days will occur either before and/or oafter the school year. the teacher will work .4 FTE as the Curriculum Coordinator and .6 FTE as a classroom teacher. This position is a 1.0 FTE.

Salary Range is $40,618 to $84,604 per contract for certified teachers. We have excellent benefits.
