| CT PIRC CT Parent Information and Resource Center SERC is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time opening on its consultant staff to co-coordinate the federally-awarded CT Parent Information and Resource Center (CT PIRC). Candidates must have a Master's degree in education (general or special), related services, or social services. The CT PIRC Co-Coordinator will design and oversee implementation of training, technical assistance, resource development, and information dissemination through the CT PIRC. Applicants must have: Expertise and experience in the areas of family involvement, family literacy, and school-family-community partnerships, including outreach to and partnerships with families from racially, ethnically, culturally, or linguistically diverse backgrounds; Thorough understanding of the family involvement research base and its application in a strengths-based model; Extensive experience working in public schools; Working knowledge of No Child Left Behind Act and the parent involvement components in Title I; Experience in design, delivery, and evaluation of professional development; marketing strategies; and oral and written communication; Specific expertise and experience in the development, coordination, and management of large, multifaceted programs. The ideal applicants will also have demonstrated effectiveness in a collaborative, highly team-oriented environment, yet possess initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
