SERC is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time opening:

- School Psychologist or School Counselor who holds CT certification (or out of state equivalent) and possesses specific expertise and experience designing and implementing appropriate supports to students demonstrating academic and/or behavioral needs

Candidates must have a Masters degree in School Psychology or School Counseling although a Doctorate is preferred. SERC Consultants design and oversee implementation of various training and technical assistance initiatives. They also provide on-site professional development and technical assistance to schools and districts.

Applicants must have education, expertise, and experience related to:

- Strong knowledge of and experience applying research-based behavioral/mental health interventions;
- Knowledge of how components within a comprehensive education system work collaboratively to provide a continuum of supports and services to meet the needs of diverse learners in general education settings;
- Knowledge of Early Intervening Services and Response to Intervention (RtI);
- The collaborative development, implementation, support and monitoring of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs);
- Knowledge of professional development needs specific to School Psychologists and School Counselors to support the design of quality services and interventions; and
- Understanding critical issues in the delivery of School Psych services (i.e disproportionality, non -biased assessment).
